What does the media teach us about sex? If we have attractive bodies, tan, thin, and beautiful, or tall, dark, and handsome, we will be wanted by a partner. If we are attractive, we will have good sex. If we have good sex, we’ll have a good relationship.
THIS IS NOT TRUE.
THE TRUTH is that there is so much more to a happy relationship than the physical aspect of touching and sex. Media and maybe some of your friends would have you believe touching each other and sex are the only thing that matters.
Turns out, there are 3 different dimensions of healthy sexuality. You need all of three of these parts to have a healthy sexual relationship, something we like to call “good sex”. They are all extremely and equally important. Click below to learn about each of these dimensions in-depth:
Once we understand that a happy, healthy sex life is made up of spiritual, emotional, and physical pieces, we can prepare ourselves to have a fulfilling and unifying sex life in our future relationships. God will help us develop these qualities if we ask Him for strength and guidance. We CAN and we WILL push away the messages of the world and find true joy in being virtuous!
